316 stainless steel
double ferrule fittings
Discover our range of 316 stainless steel double ferrule fittings, designed for optimal performance and exceptional reliability.
Key Features
Fittings designed for reliability and flexibility.
Tube selection
To ensure maximum reliability and performance of fittings, special care must be taken in selecting tubing for each application. Four variables must be considered when ordering tubing for use with fittings: material, tube wall thickness, surface finish, and tube hardness.
Tube handling
It is important to handle the tubing carefully to significantly reduce the risk of leaks caused by possible scratches. If using coiled copper tubing, hold the end of the tube and unroll the coil outward so that the tube lays flat on a surface.
Safety
In applications with severe conditions and high pressure, it is recommended to follow these installation procedures: ensure the nut is hand-tight, insert the tube, tighten the nut with a wrench until the tube no longer rotates freely, mark the nut position, then tighten the nut by 1¼ turns.
Inspection gauge
This is a “gap inspection gauge” to be used as follows: perform the assembly according to the instructions (1/4 inch / 6 mm – 1/2 inch / 12 mm), tighten by 1¼ turns, check the gap between the nut and the body using the appropriate inspection gauge. If the gauge slides easily into the gap, tighten the nut further until the gauge can no longer enter the gap.
